Ukraine plans to implement public-private partnership (PPP) projects on six road sections, which were presented to potential investors today, Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii has said.

"Six road sections selected for potential PPP pilot projects will be implemented under the First Public-Private Partnership Program in the Road Industry… Together with Ukravtodor, the World Bank and IFC, we presented these road sections to 310 participants from 43 countries of the world and 38 companies of potential investors," Kryklii wrote on his Telegram channel.

The minister clarified that the projects involved Kharkiv-Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia (M-29, M-04, M-18); Boryspil-Poltava (М-03); Kherson-Mykolaiv (M-14); Kyiv-Zhytomyr-Rivne (M-06); Yahodyn-Kovel-Lutsk (M-07, M-19); and Dnipro-Kryvyi Rih- Mykolaiv (M-04, H11) highways.

According to him, these highways connect 10 regions of Ukraine. More than 12 million residents will be able to experience the improvement of road infrastructure.

"PPP is not about toll roads, but about "roads in installments", when the state attracts private investment in construction, and the investor implements the project at his own expense and receives payments from the state after the road is put into operation. It is beneficial to all concerned," the minister added.
