Taylor: National Bank of Ukraine plays critical role in advancing reforms
“I firmly believe that the National Bank of Ukraine has played a critical role in advancing reforms that are key to Ukraine’s economic stability and growth,” Taylor said, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine posted on Facebook.
The diplomat also expressed his conviction that Ukrainian people deserve a bright economic future, with strong job prospects for young Ukrainians.
“A fully independent National Bank focused on continuing to clean up the banking sector will boost foreign investor confidence in Ukraine,” Taylor emphasized.
On November 16, the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine presented the National Bank of Ukraine with 2019 Thanksgiving Choice of the Business Community Award for pursuing effective monetary policy, continuing to clean up the banking sector, protecting NBU's independence, and promoting macroeconomic stability.
