Russian forces strike Yampil community in Sumy region with guided bombs, casualties reported
This was reported on Facebook by Oleh Hryhorov, head of the regional military administration, according to Ukrinform.
The attackers dropped four guided aerial bombs on the central part of the community. As a result of the strike, a kindergarten sustained significant damage. At the time of the attack, there were no children or staff in the facility, as classes are currently being held remotely.
So far, three people have sought medical assistance following the attack. They were outdoors nearby when the strike occurred.
“The injured received medical aid; their injuries are not severe,” Hryhorov noted.
Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the strike are ongoing.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, over the past day Russian forces carried out about 150 strikes on the Sumy region, killing three people.
