Cabinet approves bill on ratification of FTA with Israel

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law on ratification of a free trade agreement between Ukraine and Israel.

The Government made the relevant decision at a meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, the Government will propose the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the draft law on ratification of FTA between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the State of Israel of January 21, 2019 in the city of Jerusalem.

As reported, on January 21, 2019, Ukraine's First Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv and Israel's Minister of Economy and Industry Eli Cohen signed the free trade agreement between the two countries. The free trade agreement must be ratified by the Verkhovna Rada and the Knesset of the State of Israel, two months after the exchange of diplomatic notes on the completion of the ratification procedure, the agreement will come into force.
