Zelensky, Fico discuss Ukraine's EU integration, joint efforts for peace
According to Ukrinform, Zelensky stated this on Telegram.
"We discussed European integration, mutually beneficial energy cooperation, and the results of the G7 Évian Summit. I spoke about diplomatic efforts for peace," the post said.
The two leaders also discussed preparations for the next round of intergovernmental consultations between Ukraine and Slovakia.
President Zelensky thanked Slovakia for supporting Ukraine's path toward membership in the European Union and for backing the opening of the first negotiation cluster in the accession process.
"We count on progress in opening the remaining clusters in the nearest future," Zelensky added.
The conversation also touched on mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector and broader diplomatic initiatives related to ending the war and securing a lasting peace.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Zelensky also recently held talks with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on diplomatic issues, Ukraine's European integration, and continued support for the country.
