Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, known for producing NASAMS air defense systems, has opened an office in Ukraine.
In Kyiv, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Oleksandr Syrskyi, and Chief of the General Staff Major General Andrii Hnatov held high-level talks with Norwegian Defense Minister Tore Onshuus Sandvik to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation.
The Kyiv community has handed over more than 2,300 FPV drones, 50 electronic warfare (EW) systems, three reconnaissance UAVs, and communications equipment to Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

The European Council has adopted a voluntary financial contribution from Norway in the amount of 1 billion Norwegian kroner (EUR 86 million) to assist the Ukrainian army within the framework of the European Peace Facility.
The first EUR 428 million tranche under the "Danish model" will arrive in the near future and be used for the production of artillery, attack drones, missiles, and anti-tank weapons.
Ukraine has made targeted investments in drone production, therefore it is capable of producing up to 10 million drones per year, and is no longer dependent on external suppliers, including China, which recently redirected supplies of its drones from Ukraine to Russia.
The Verkhovna Rada approved bills 13305 and 13306, which exempt from import duty and VAT the import of fiber optics for drone production.
