NATO’s North Atlantic Council discusses outcomes of Washington meetings

NATO spokesperson Allison Hart announced this on the social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.

“As a follow up to the meetings held in Washington on ending the war against Ukraine, the North Atlantic Council met this morning and NATO Chiefs of Defence will convene this afternoon for a roundtable discussion,” she said.

As reported by Ukrinform, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte called U.S. President Donald Trump’s willingness to contribute to Ukraine’s security guarantees “a real breakthrough.”

During an expanded-format meeting in Washington on Monday, attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several European leaders, Rutte thanked the U.S. President for his readiness to participate in ensuring such guarantees.
