JFO Headquarters: Ceasefire observed in eastern Ukraine

As of Saturday morning, no ceasefire violations have been recorded in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours.

This is said in the morning report released by the press center of the JFO Headquarters, Ukrinform reports.

“As of 7 a.m. on August 21, no ceasefire violations by the Russian occupation forces have been recorded in the Joint Forces Operation area," the report says.

The headquarters assured that the Ukrainian soldiers control the situation in the JFO area to repel and deter the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and adhere to the ceasefire.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to data provided by the intelligence service as of August 17, last week the occupiers conducted mine-laying operations in the areas adjacent to the contact line. In particular, landmines POM-2, PMN-2, MON, and OZM-72, prohibited by international conventions, were revealed.
