Netherlands pledges EUR 248M for joint drone production with Ukraine
He said this during a press conference in Middelburg, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The Netherlands will continue its military support for Ukraine on a multi-year, uninterrupted basis. We are adding a new dimension to this cooperation – one that brings our defense cooperation onto a more equal footing and recognizes the vast experience already gained by Ukrainians. We aim to increasingly combine our defense industries. Together we can work on new technologies and modern capabilities that ultimately benefit everyone,” he said.

He also noted plans to jointly develop new technologies and modern defense capabilities, as well as increase the supply of critical equipment for Ukraine’s armed forces and civilian protection.
“We are building on Ukrainian knowledge and experience with weapons that have proven their value, as also demonstrated by the conflict in the Middle East. And we are strengthening the production capacity and innovation potential of Dutch industry,” Jetten said.
He added that €248 million will soon be invested in joint drone production involving Dutch companies, aimed at strengthening cooperation with Ukraine’s defense industry.
According to him, Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression is a shared cause.
“Your struggle is our struggle. A joint struggle for our freedom,” he emphasized.
The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine will remain a key focus of international support. In particular, the Netherlands will continue its policy of pressure on Russia to force it to come to the negotiating table.
As reported earlier, the Four Freedoms Award was presented in the Netherlands to the President and people of Ukraine.
