Militants launched 13 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 13 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.

This is reported by the ATO press center.

"The enemy continues to violate ceasefire, using heavy weaponry. Over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire 13 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the enemy 8 times. As a result of fighting, no casualties were reported," the statement reads.

In Donetsk direction, illegal armed formations used weapons on infantry fighting vehicles to shell Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk).

In Mariupol direction, ATO troops came under 120mm mortar fire outside Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk) and 82mm mortar fire near Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk). In addition, militants opened fire from anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns on the outskirts of Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine came under mortar fire outside Trokhizbenka (33km north-west of Luhansk). The enemy also fired grenade launchers near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk).
