Militants launched 17 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed militants launched 17 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.

This is reported by the ATO press center.

"The enemy continues to violate ceasefire, using heavy weaponry. Over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire 17 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the enemy 13 times. As a result of the fighting, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, another one was wounded and one more sustained injury," the statement reads.

In Donetsk direction, the tensest situation was observed in the industrial area of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) where the enemy used different types of grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian positions. The same weapons were used to fire at defenders of Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk).

In Mariupol direction, illegal armed formations opened fire from anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms on Ukrainian strongholds near Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk).

In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants fired 82mm mortars and weapons on infantry weaponry on Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk). In addition, the enemy launched attacks on Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), using 120mm mortars.
