Militants launched 22 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

The tensest situation was observed in Donetsk direction, where illegal armed formations used different types of grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire at Ukrainian strongholds in the industrial area of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). At about 19:00, the enemy launched six 82mm mortars on defenders of Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk). In addition, the enemy used weapons on infantry fighting vehicles and heavy machine guns outside Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). ATO troops came under small arms fire near Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk).

In Mariupol direction, Russian-backed militants launched two attacks on Ukrainian positions near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), using heavy machine guns and automatic grenade launchers. ATO troops outside Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk) came under machine gun fire. Terrorists also opened fire from anti-tank grenade launchers near Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol).

In Luhansk direction, the situation was relatively calm. Ukrainian positions near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk) came under machine gun fire.
