Last night in Sumy, the Russians destroyed the home of a fallen soldier with a drone strike, leaving his wife and daughter homeless.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Kordon.media.

"The enemy destroyed the home of a fallen soldier—his 5-year-old daughter and wife are now homeless. The house was completely burned down last night after a drone strike in Sumy shortly after 1 a.m.," the report states.

According to reports, the father of the family was a soldier in the Special Forces. He was killed on May 23 in Sumy during a funeral procession. At that time, Russian drones attacked the convoy.

"After her father's death, the defender's daughter, Nicole, flatly refused to stay in the house. She became very frightened and begged to leave. So her family took Nicole and her mother away from there. Over the past few days, the family has only come to the house to collect their belongings. The girl wanted to take her toys from there, but she was too afraid to even approach the house and cried bitterly," the statement reads.

It was their move that saved the girl and her mother’s lives.
