Enemy drone strikes diesel locomotive in Kharkiv region, injuring railway worker
Ukrzaliznytsia reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“The enemy launched a drone strike on a diesel locomotive in the Kharkiv region. A railway worker was injured in the strike and is receiving necessary medical assistance,” the statement reads.
It is noted that an ambulance crew and State Emergency Service units were promptly dispatched to the scene. Railway workers continue to work in coordination with emergency services.
The company assured that despite the shelling, train traffic in the Kharkiv region continues, and trains are running with minimal delays. Ukrzaliznytsia’s monitoring groups are closely tracking the security situation in the region.
As reported, due to a massive Russian attack, 140,000 consumers in the capital were left without power, 110,000 of whom have already had their power restored.
The enemy also attacked one of the key gas infrastructure facilities in the Kharkiv region, first with drones and then with missiles.
Air defense forces intercepted 40 missiles and 602 drones used by Russian invaders to attack Ukraine starting on the evening of June 1.
