The Ukrainian Armed Forces have denied claims by Russian invaders that they allegedly control part of the city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.

According to Ukrinform, the 19th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook.

"The Kremlin is once again trying to present wishful thinking as reality and is declaring 'successes' of the Russian army on the battlefield. However, none of these claims are supported by facts. Claims of alleged control over part of Kostiantynivka are also a myth," the statement said.

The military noted that Ukrainian defenders are confidently holding the line and destroying the enemy on the approaches to the city.

Russia is attempting to influence the international community through disinformation, especially during negotiations. However, these attempts will yield no results other than increased losses among the invaders, the military said.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces urged citizens to verify information and not become instruments in the hands of enemy propagandists.
