Ukraine’s air defenses down 69 out of 96 Russian drones

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

From 19:00 on Monday, October 13, Russia launched 96 attack drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types from the directions of Millerovo, Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 60 of them were Shahed-type drones.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone system units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 on Tuesday, October 14, air defense forces shot down or disabled 69 enemy drones over the northern, southern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine.

There were 27 drone strikes recorded at seven locations, as well as debris from downed drones falling in one area.

The attack is still ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.

As Ukrinform previously reported, overnight on October 14, Russian forces attacked critical infrastructure in Dolynska and Nova Praha communities of Kirovohrad region. Five settlements are currently without power.
