Poland called the drone incursion an “act of aggression” and convened an emergency security meeting. Polish President Karol Nawrocki said he would hold a meeting at the National Security Bureau in the near future with Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The president stressed that the country's security is a top priority that requires close coordination and cooperation.
The incident occurred a day before Poland closed its border crossings with Belarus and on the eve of the joint Russian-Belarusian military exercises “Zapad.”
As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of September 10, the Polish military shot down drones that repeatedly violated Polish airspace. One of the damaged drones was found in a field in the village of Czosnówka near Biała Podlaska in the Lublin region.
