War update: 202 clashes on frontline as Ukrainian forces repel 30 Russian assaults in Pokrovsk sector

More than 200 combat engagements took place along the frontline as of 22:00 on Thursday, with Russian forces losing nearly 100 troops while attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses in the Pokrovsk sector.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this in a situation update published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"In total, 202 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day. The enemy launched one missile strike using 55 missiles, carried out 61 airstrikes dropping 218 guided aerial bombs, deployed 5,202 kamikaze drones, and conducted 1,964 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops," the statement said.

According to the General Staff, six combat engagements occurred today in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, with one battle still ongoing. Russian forces launched one airstrike, dropping two aerial bombs, and carried out 78 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, including 12 using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy launched ten assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vovchanski Khutory, Lyman, Starytsia, and toward Ternove, Radkivka, and Izbytske. One engagement is still underway.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attempts to advance near Kurylivka and Pishchane. One battle continues.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops stopped four Russian attempts to advance near Dibrova and Stavky.

In the Sloviansk sector, a Russian attempt to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka was unsuccessful.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack near Pryvillia.

Ukrainian forces also successfully repelled 21 Russian assaults in the Kostiantynivka sector near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Kucheriv Yar, and Novopavlivka. Two clashes are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops carried out 30 attacks. Occupying forces attempted to advance near Nove Shakhove, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Udachne, Molodetske, and toward Bilytske, Vasylivka, and Novopavlivka. One battle is still ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates, Ukrainian forces eliminated 79 Russian troops and wounded 16 more in this sector alone. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed six vehicles and one piece of special equipment, while damaging another vehicle, one artillery gun, and 130 personnel shelters. In addition, 189 drones of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out one unsuccessful assault toward Oleksandrohrad.

In the Huliaipole sector, 16 Russian attacks were recorded near Nove Zaporizhzhia, Zlahoda, Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Hirke, and Huliaipilske.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attempted three advances near Shcherbaky and Plavni.

In the Dnipro River sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped one Russian assault toward Antonivka.

No significant changes were reported in other sectors.
