AFU repels enemy armored assault in Novopavlivka sector

In the Novopavlivka direction, soldiers of the 71st separate hunting ranger brigade of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled an assault by the occupiers' armored vehicles and infantry using artillery and FPV drones.

This was reported by the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops in a Telegram message, Ukrinform reports.

“Thanks to the soldiers of the AAF brigade, another assault by the Russian occupiers with armored vehicles and infantry landing in the forest belt failed completely. Our defenders detected the enemy equipment in advance and delivered a crushing blow with artillery and FPV drones,” the statement said.

It is noted that the invaders, who managed to land and tried to hide in the forests, were detected by drones with thermal imagers and destroyed.

As Ukrinform reported, the total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022 to May 21, 2025 in the war against Ukraine amounted to about 976,780 people, including 980 people over the past day.
