Zelensky announces new steps to strengthen Ukrainian army's capabilities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky listened to a report by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and announced the preparation of new steps by the Ukrainian command.

The head of state said this in a new video address, Ukrinform reports.

Zelensky said that almost every day, the Pokrovsk sector remains the hardest part of the front, where the Russian army exerts the greatest pressure. Most battles take place in this area every day, he said.

Yesterday alone, Russian forces carried out more than 40 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, and today they carried out more than 20, Zelensky said.

"We are making every effort to ensure that you and our entire army have more weapons, more equipment, and more modern systems. Today, there was already a report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi, and there will be a report from DIU Chief Budanov – we are preparing our new steps.
