General Staff: AFU hit six enemy artillery units, three command posts

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“In the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 5 missile attacks and 61 airstrikes, carried out 67 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population, as well as damage to residential buildings and other infrastructure," the report says.

The threat of the enemy launching further missile and airstrikes on Ukraine remains high.

According to the General Staff, 32 combat clashes occurred in the past 24 hours.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy launched airstrikes on the areas of Stepne, Kostiantynivka of Sumy region. The enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 20 settlements, including Karpovychi, Bleshnia, Senkivka of Chernihiv region; Volfyne, Kostiantynivka, Myropilske, Popivka, Seredyna Buda of Sumy region; Vilcha, Zybyne, Karaichne, Loshakove, Hatyshche, Okhrimivka of Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched airstrikes on Kyslivka and Kotliarivka districts of Kharkiv region. The settlements of Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove in Kharkiv region came under enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched airstrikes on the areas of Bilohorivka, Serebriansky Forestry of Luhansk region, as well as Terny, Vesele, Sloviansk of Donetsk region. About 15 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka of Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Zvanivka, Fedorivka of Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas north of Bohdanivka, north and south of Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. Russian forces launched  airstrikes on the districts of Klishchiivka, Bohdanivka, and Pivnichne on Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Novomarkove, Klishchiivka, Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, and Bohdanivka of Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, the settlements of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Karlivka, and Pervomaiske of Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Marinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back Russian troops in the area of Marinka in Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike on Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region. The settlements of Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Hostre, Pobieda, Katerynivka, Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to recapture the lost position in the area of Urozhaine. They launched an airstrike on the area of Urozhaine. Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Staromayorske, and Urozhaine of Donetsk region were subjected to artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy launched airstrikes on the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Yehorivka, and Robotyne of Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements came under enemy artillery shelling, including Novodarivka, Poltavka, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Stepove, Novodanylivka, Kamianske, Plavni of Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Nikopol of Dnipropetrovsk region.

In the Kherson direction, more than 15 settlements were subjected to enemy artillery fire, including Tokarivka, Dudchany, Beryslav, Mykolaivka, Dniprovske, Zorivka, Kizomys of Kherson region, as well as Ochakiv of Mykolaiv region.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, getting entrenched in the regained positions and carrying out counter-battery measures.

The Air Force launched nine strikes on the areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, as well as one strike targeting an anti-aircraft missile system. For their part, missile and artillery forces hit six artillery units in firing positions, three command posts, and three enemy air defense systems.

As reported, since February 24, 2022, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have eliminated about 257,010 Russian invaders.
