Enemy shells Sumy region 26 times on Aug 19

On August 19, Russian troops shelled the border communities of Sumy region 26 times. Almost 250 explosions were recorded.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Throughout the day, Russians 26 times shelled border territories and settlements of Sumy region. 248 explosions were recorded," the report says.

Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyno-Buda, Shalyhyne, Znob-Novhorodske, and Khotin communities came under enemy fire.

Velyka Pysarivka community came under fire from AGS-17 and artillery (47 and 8 explosions, respectively). A private residential building was damaged.

In Krasnopillia community, the enemy used mortars (19 explosions), self-propelled grenades (15), AGS-17 (58), and self-propelled guns (13).

In Seredyno-Buda community, Russian forces fired mortars (four explosions).

The territory of Khotin community was hit by airstrikes from a Russian helicopter - the launch of 17 unguided air missiles. A household was hit, a private house caught fire.

Bilopillia community was also subjected to airstrikes - unguided air missiles were fired from a helicopter. In addition, the enemy launched attacks using automatic grenade launchers (13 explosions), mortars (26) and artillery (16).

In addition, Russians dropped eight mines on the territory of Znob-Novhorodske community. Ten explosions were heard in Shalyhyne community as a result of mortar fire.

As reported, on August 18, Russian forces shelled the border area of Sumy region 22 times, and nine communities of the region were hit by enemy strikes.
