The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, during a working visit to the Volyn region, set clear tasks for the commanders of brigades, battalions, companies, and platoons.

The Joint Forces Command reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Nayev noted that the definition of clear tasks for the future is not only words but also significant assistance from both local government leaders in Volyn and the military command. "All these issues are under my personal control," he emphasized.

"Commanders of brigades, battalions, companies, and platoons have been assigned a number of tasks to be done in the future. After some time, we will work again at each stronghold and carry out an inspection," the commander emphasized.

According to him, the Volyn region borders the Republic of Belarus, so the commanders have been tasked to strengthen their defense capabilities.

"I am satisfied with what I saw. But there is still work to be done. We will come back in a while and check again. This is a daily, painstaking work, but it has a result - the readiness of the forces to respond adequately to hostile intentions," Nayev emphasized.

According to the commander of the Joint Forces Operation, the military is setting up defensive positions, constructing engineering barriers, and also doing regular combat work: training, and improving their firing positions.

"The soldiers who are here have returned from performing missions in the east. There, of course, was a different combat situation, daily shelling, daily close firefights. Based on their combat experience, they can improve our defense capabilities to prevent the enemy from entering Ukraine's territory if the threat level increases," Nayev emphasized.

As reported, according to the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, the situation on the border with Belarus is fully controlled.
