Overnight, Russians shell eight settlements in Sumy, Chernihiv regions

Overnight, Russian invaders shelled eight border settlements in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, causing a total of 78 explosions.

The operational command North reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

Five settlements in the Chernihiv region came under enemy fire.

In particular, in the Semenivka community, Russian troops allegedly fired 120-mm mortars at Yanzhulivka (30 hits) and Bleshnya (10 hits).

In the Novhorod-Siverskyi community, Hremyach (18 hits), Dibrova (three hits) and Hai (four hits) were hit, allegedly by enemy cannon artillery.

Russian invaders attacked the Sumy region, allegedly with 120-mm mortars. Thus, in the Shostka district, seven enemy hits were recorded in Sydorivka, four in Khodyne, and two in Tovstodubove.

There were no reports of casualties or injuries among the local population.

As reported, in total, the Russian army carried out one missile and 57 air strikes and 29 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of the Defense Forces and populated areas over the past day. The enemy also attacked Ukraine with Shahed attack drones.
