The Russian invaders are trying to hold their positions near Bakhmut, so they constantly move reserves there. In the past 24 hours, the enemy launched more than 1,000 strikes at the positions of Ukraine's defense forces in the Bakhmut, Lyman and Kupiansk areas.

Serhii Cherevatyi, spokesperson for the Eastern Grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said this on national television, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, enemy forces above all want to hold their positions near Bakhmut: "They constantly move reserves there and sometimes try to counterattack. We repel these attempts. Recently, the enemy has had no success in counterattacks."
