Enemy drawing forces to Sloviansk, attempting to repeat Mariupol scenario

The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We can see them building up personnel, heavy armored vehicles and artillery in the Sloviansk direction. The enemy is following its tactics and attempting to get closer to our defense lines in order to use cannon artillery against the city in addition to missiles and aircrafts that they are systemically using in Donetsk Region. Russians do not change tactics. We saw what happened in our native Mariupol and Sievierodonetsk. Thus, we are preparing for any scenario in Sloviansk. […] We are prepared and will stand against for as long as necessary,” Kyrylenko told.

In his words, last night Russian troops opened fire all over the front line in Donetsk Region. The enemy shelled Kurakhove and launched a missile strike on Kostiantynivka. Rescue teams are dismantling the rubble. Right now, Avdiivka is under enemy fire.

“In general, the front line is remaining under continuous fire. Sadly, we have already got used to this. The enemy destroys civil infrastructure completely. But, our brave defenders keep the defense, and the enemy has not advanced in any direction,” Kyrylenko added.

A reminder that Russian invaders are systemically opening fire in the Sloviansk direction to create conditions for the offensive on Sloviansk.
