Ukraine’s defense forces successfully repelled the attacks of the Russian troops in Bakhmut and Avdiyivka directions, holding back the enemy offensive in Maryinka direction. In Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries. In total, 25 combat engagements took place during the day.
As a result of a counter-intelligence raid, the Security Service (SBU) detained a Russian intelligence asset who is believed to have been involved in the preparation of a series of Russian airstrikes targeting strategically important transport arteries across Mykolaiv region in Ukraine’s south.
In Zaporizhzhia region, 79 strikes on 22 settlements were recorded over the past day, July 25.
