War update: 178 clashes on front lines in past 24 hours, most in Pokrovsk sector

As many as 178 combat engagements occurred between Ukraine's Defense Forces and Russian troops along the frontline in the past 24 hours, with the highest number recorded in the Pokrovsk sector.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in its 08:00 operational update published on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding back the occupiers' onslaught, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. In total, 178 combat clashes were recorded over the past day," the update states.

According to the General Staff, yesterday the enemy launched one missile strike on Ukrainian positions and settlements, carried out 115 airstrikes, and dropped 201 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the occupiers conducted 6,010 shelling attacks, including 88 using multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 2,858 kamikaze drones.

Throughout the day, the Russian army launched airstrikes on several areas, including Naumivka, Novodmytrivka, Myropilske, and Petrushivka in the Sumy region, Novopil, Popiv, Volodymyrivka, Poltavka, Nova Poltavka, Malynivka, Kozatske, Hrodivka, Novoekonomichne, Myrnohrad, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Zelene Pole, and Piddubne in the Donetsk region, Huliaipole, Pavlivka, and Novodarivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Olhivka in the Kherson region.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attempted to breach Ukrainian defensive lines nine times near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Zapadne, and Mala Shapkivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, seven enemy attacks were recorded. Ukrainian defenders repelled assault actions near Zahryzove, Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, and Nova Kruhliakivka.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched 18 attacks, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses near Katerynivka, Nove, Kolodiazi, Yampilivka, and toward Lypove, Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, and Novyi Myr.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy attacks near Ivano-Darivka and toward Hryhorivka and Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces attacked ten times in the direction of Markove and near Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy launched 14 attacks near Toretsk, Druzhba, and toward Dyliivka and Dachne.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 59 Russian assaults near the settlements of Sukhа Balka, Yelyzavetivka, Sukhyi Yar, Malynivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, Troitske, Kotliarivka, Sribne, Andriivka, and toward Pokrovsk, Stara Mykolaivka, Oleksandropil, Novopavlivka, and Bohdanivka.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the invaders carried out 23 attacks near Pryvilne, Kostiantynopil, Vilne Pole, and toward Odradne, Bahatyr, and Shevchenko.

In the Huliaipole sector, no combat engagements occurred in the past day.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian occupation forces launched five assaults near Shcherbaky, Stepove, and Lobkove.

In the Dnipro River sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled five Russian attacks.

The General Staff noted that there were no signs of enemy offensive group formations in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.

Ukraine's Defense Forces continue operations in Russia's Kursk region. In this sector, 15 combat engagements took place over the past day. The enemy conducted 17 airstrikes, dropping 27 guided aerial bombs, and launched 338 shelling attacks, one of which involved a multiple launch rocket system.

Over the past day, Ukrainian aircraft, missile troops, and artillery struck 16 areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated, as well as one air defense asset and two artillery systems.
