The Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 30 missiles and 47 drones launched by the Russian forces at Ukraine early on January 15. The enemy targeted Ukrainian energy infrastructure, including gas infrastructure in Kharkiv, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that over 40 missiles, including ballistic ones, were launched during the latest Russian missile attack on Ukraine. At least 30 of these missiles were destroyed. Additionally, the Russians attacked with 70 drones.
Head of the Department of the State Protection of Ukraine (DSPU), Oleksii Morozov, in his first interview with the media, discussed the main challenges faced by the department.
During the morning Russian attack, two critical infrastructure facilities were struck in Drohobych and Stryi districts of Lviv region. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and electricity outages have not been implemented.
The Russian forces targeted the energy infrastructure of Lviv region.
The total combat losses of Russian troops in manpower from February 24, 2022, to January 15, 2025, amounted to about 812,670 people, including 1,580 invaders killed in the last day.
