Trump responds to Russian claims of 'strike on Putin's residence'
According to Ukrinform, Donald Trump said this while speaking to journalists at Mar-a-Lago, where he was hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
At first, Trump denied having such information.
"No, I don't know about it actually. I just heard about it actually, but I don't know about it. That would be too bad. That would not be good," he said when first asked about an alleged "drone attack" on Putin's residence in the Novgorod region.
However, a few minutes later, speaking about his call with the Russian leader, Trump said: "Did you know who told me about it? President Putin told me about it early in the morning. He said he was attacked. I was very angry about it."
At the same time, Trump noted that the information about the alleged "strike" still needs to be verified.
On December 28, talks took place between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, after which they held a phone call with the leaders of several European countries.
Trump also stressed that Putin allegedly wants to end the war in Ukraine.
