Ukrainian partisans spot Russian air defense HQ in Sevastopol
As reported by Ukrinform, ATESH announced this on Telegram.
“Agents of our movement continue reconnaissance of the occupiers’ air defense facilities in Sevastopol. At this stage, the possible operation of the headquarters of Russia’s 31st Air Defense Division has been identified, while the enemy is actively using concealment methods. Coordinates: 44.537102, 33.5116642,” the partisans said.
The presence of decoy equipment was recorded at the site, indicating attempts to mislead and conceal the true purpose of the location.
At the same time, signs point to the probable operation of a headquarters, including periodic movements of military personnel and communications activity typical of a command post.
The agents noted that S-300/S-400 surface-to-air missile launchers are deployed elsewhere – on the territory of the 15th Separate Coastal Missile and Artillery Brigade. Coordinates: 44.565255, 33.496579.
From there, the air defense systems are sent on combat duty within their area of responsibility, rather than being permanently stationed at the suspected headquarters.
Such a dispersed deployment scheme is a typical Russian air defense tactic and is used to complicate the detection and targeting of facilities, ATESH emphasized.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, ATESH agents have again recorded high activity of Russian forces at the site of a former military base in Luhansk that had previously been struck by ATACMS missiles.
