Oleksandr Gvozdyk retires from boxing

Ukrainian light heavyweight boxer Oleksandr Gvozdyk has decided to retire from boxing, sports news site Tribuna.com has reported, with reference to the athlete.

The 33-year-old said he would refrain from further comment.

Gvozdyk last fought on October 19, 2019, when he lost the WBC champion title to Russian Artur Beterbiev.

Gvozdyk (17-1, 14 KOs) had 18 fights as a professional. He is the 2012 Olympic bronze medalist.
