KYIV. Ukrainian players have failed to secure a place at the UEFA EURO 2016. Mykhailo Fomenko's men lost 0-1 to their Spanish rivals in the closing UEFA EURO 2016 Group C qualifier at the NSC Olimpiyskiy in Kyiv. Twenty two minutes into the game, Spain's defender Mario Gaspar earned an opener for his team. Three minutes later, his team mate, midfielder Cesc Fabregas missed the penalty. Thus, the Ukrainian team occupies the third standing in Group C, which means that the national team will face new rivals in UEFA EURO 2016 play-offs in November.
