Russian forces attack Zaporizhzhia, leaving over 7,500 customers without power
This was reported on Telegram by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.
“The enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia. A fire broke out. As a result of the strike, over 7,500 customers lost power,” the message reads.
It is noted that utility workers will begin restoration work as soon as the security situation allows.
Later, the Zaporizhzhia City Council clarified that 16 buildings were damaged as a result of the enemy’s attack.
“One private home sustained significant damage, while 15 other buildings have minor damage—including two apartment buildings and 13 private homes,” the city council wrote.
Broken windows, damaged doors, and roofs have been reported. Specialists from the district administration are surveying the surrounding area to determine the full extent of the damage.
As of 7:00 a.m., utility workers began covering the broken windows with OSB sheets.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia with drones. Three civilians were injured.
