Authorities declare June 18 Day of Mourning in Kyiv region for victims of Russia’s deadly strike

In Kyiv region, June 18 has been declared a Day of Mourning for those killed in Russia’s massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv.

The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, reported this on Telegram.

“On this day, state flags shall be flown half-mast, and any entertainment events shall be banned,” Kalashnyk wrote.

He expressed condolences to the families of those killed and noted that he shares with them the pain of loss: “We bow in memory of the innocent Ukrainians killed.”

As reported, the City of Kyiv had also declared June 18 a Day of Mourning for the victims of Russia’s massive attack on the capital.

During the attack overnight June 17, Russia launched more than 440 drones and 32 missiles into Ukraine. In Kyiv, 27 locations came under fire.
