During the Eucharistic service on Sunday in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican, Pope Leo XIV entrusted families, especially those suffering from the war in Ukraine and the Middle East, to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Vatican News.

"May the Virgin Mary bless the families and support them in their difficulties: I mean, in particular, those families who are suffering because of the war in the Middle East, Ukraine and other parts of the world. May the Mother of God help us to follow the path of peace together," the pontiff said.

The Eucharistic service on the occasion of the Jubilee of Families, Grandparents and the Elderly ended with the recitation of the Queen of Heaven prayer.
