One of Europe’s largest pharmaceutical plants under construction in Zakarpattia – Svyrydenko inspects facility
She announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
As the head of government noted, Biopharma is preparing to launch the first phase of one of Europe’s largest plants for the production of pharmaceutical products and immunobiological preparations in September. The enterprise will create 150 jobs and ensure a full-cycle blood plasma processing capability within Ukraine.
At present, the main building and a raw materials warehouse have already been constructed, and equipment has been installed.
The total cost of the first phase amounts to €75 million, of which the company itself has invested €67 million.
Biopharma exports its products to dozens of countries and plans to expand its presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
The company also systematically supports talented children and invests in biological education: it has organized two specialized biology classes in Kyiv and two bio-schools in Kyiv and Bila Tserkva. Students there receive ten hours per week of instruction in mathematics, chemistry, and biology free of charge. Plans include building 25-30 more bio-schools, with the next ones to be opened in Uzhhorod, Lviv, and Dnipro.
“This is an example of a responsible Ukrainian investor that continues to invest in the country even during wartime and creates production with high added value,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, Svyrydenko also met with manufacturers and visited a pharmaceutical enterprise during a trip to the Odesa region.
