Ukraine’s border guards report on drivers crossing with humanitarian cargo after rules change

Andrii Demchenko, Spokesperson for Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service (SBGS), informed about this during a briefing at Ukrinform.

"The number of drivers transporting humanitarian or medical cargo fluctuates between 1-3%. Recently, the rules for this category of drivers were changed, and they are now subject to general border-crossing requirements," Demchenko said.

Other categories of men aged 18-60 allowed to cross the border under martial law are distributed as follows, according to the SBGS data: drivers engaged in international transportation of goods, cargo, and passengers – about 45%, persons with disabilities – 16%, fathers of large families – around 11%, those unfit for military service – 8%, reserved (exempted from mobilization) individuals – 4%, those accompanying persons with disabilities – about 3%, single fathers – 1%.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine has changed the border-crossing rules for men transporting humanitarian and medical cargo.
