Over the past week, the occupiers allowed only 174 people to leave the captured territories of four regions for Zaporizhzhia.

"Ruscists started a new round of terror, holding residents who want to leave the occupation on forced ‘New Year's vacations’. Over the past week, the occupiers allowed only 174 people to leave the captured territories of four regions – Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk – for Zaporizhzhia. And starting from December 15 and for three days already, not a single person has been released from the occupation," Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov posted on Telegram.

According to his information, filtration measures were intensified on alternative evacuation routes. Previously, it was possible to leave the occupation through Donetsk region or Crimea towards Georgia, Estonia, or Latvia. However, the cases when Russians turn Ukrainian cars back on the border between Russia and European countries are becoming more frequent.

Fedorov called this situation another example of the occupiers' terror in action: they are so afraid of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that hold all civilians hostage as a "human shield".

As reported, according to Fedorov's data, the Russians turned healthcare facilities into military hospitals in the temporarily occupied territories: 90% of facilities provide care exclusively to wounded occupiers.
