Ryanair and Swiss resume flights to Kyiv after three-month break
"Ryanair carried the first passengers from Barcelona, and Swiss - from Zurich," avianews.com reports.
It is specified that the Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair will serve three routes to Ukraine in June - from Barcelona, Madrid, and Berlin to Kyiv twice a week.
The report says that the launch of the Krakow-Kyiv flight was postponed due to the Polish authorities’ ban on flights from Ukraine and other countries until June 30.
"In July, Ryanair plans to resume only half of its previous Ukrainian routes until the end of the summer season but expects to launch flights from Italian cities to Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, and Kharkiv. The relevant permission was issued to the airline by the Italian aviation authority ENAC," the statement reads.
It is noted that Swiss will initially operate Kyiv-Zurich flights once a week on Sundays, and from July the airline plans to increase the frequency to two flights a week.
The passengers are advised to take into account possible changes in flight schedule before buying tickets, as well as restrictions on the entry of foreigners to other countries that have already been introduced or may be extended or introduced in the future.
