Ukraine not engaged in intergovernmental efforts with Germany to return men — Uliutin

According to Ukrinform, he made the statement during a televised interview in response to a question about whether the issue of returning Ukrainian men from Germany had been discussed during his recent visit.

"Over these two days [in Germany], I had bilateral meetings with three colleagues, we spoke with ministers, and during intergovernmental consultations I also had informal conversations on the sidelines – and not a single minister raised this issue with me. So, perhaps such discussions exist somewhere, but no German minister is directly bringing this up. They are not making such demands of us. There is no intergovernmental effort to take them back or transport them out – nothing of the sort," Uliutin said.

"At the same time, we are working together, and they understand that we need these citizens in Ukraine. We also understand that they are important to us, primarily as an economic segment," he added.

As reported earlier, a ceremonial opening of the first Ukrainian Unity Center in Europe took place in Berlin on April 14.
