Latvia, Estonia, Sweden and Finland sent humanitarian aid for Donbas residents
"A solemn ceremony of transferring the humanitarian cargo from volunteer organizations of Latvia, Estonia, Sweden and Finland to the residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions has taken place today in Kramatorsk," reads the report.
The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine Juris Poikāns, Ambassador of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusk, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki, Chief Chaplain of the National Armed Forces of the Republic of Latvia Elmārs Pļaviņš, as well as representatives of the military joint forces.
The humanitarian aid consists of various clothes for adults and children, shoes, textiles, bedclothes. A separate cargo, consisting of medical products and equipment, is intended for Slaviansk Central District Hospital.
On behalf of the local authorities and residents of the region, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Vadym Filashkin thanked the ambassadors for their support and continuous assistance.
