Ukraine and Indonesia will develop scientific and technical cooperation in at least nine sectors.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ukrainian Science and Technology Center and the Bandung Institute of Technology, the research university in Indonesia.

"We have already agreed on the implementation of two specific projects with the National Antarctic Research Center and the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Thus, the project of the National Antarctic Research Center and the Bandung Institute of Technology will deal with the development of communications at the Vernadsky Research Base. In particular, the Indonesian side is considering the possibility of allocating frequency to provide communication through their satellites. This will help establish continuous video communication in online mode with the station and improve the electronic communication system and the exchange of information," the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reported.

As for cooperation with the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, joint startup schools will be organized. At the same time, the experience of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in organizing and implementing the startup school “Sikorsky Challenge” will be used.

In addition, Ukraine and Indonesia will cooperate in the aerospace industry, nuclear energy, biotechnology, medicine, agriculture, chemistry and materials science.

In February of 2017, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved cooperation with Indonesia in the defense industry.
