Liechtenstein joins Special Tribunal for Crime of Aggression against Ukraine, says Sybiha
According to Ukrinform, this was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the social media platform X.
“We have just received confirmation of Liechtenstein’s intent to join the Enlarged Partial Agreement for the launch of the Special Tribunal. This brings the total count to 25 states. I am grateful to Liechtenstein for its continued commitment to accountability, international law, and justice,” the foreign minister stated.
He added that the relevant agreement will be adopted on May 14-15 at a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Moldova.
Sybiha called on all states, both in Europe and beyond, to join us in our efforts to bring perpetrators to justice, thereby, for the first time since the Nuremberg trials, ensuring justice for the crime of aggression.
As reported by Ukrinform, the European Parliament supported the swiftest possible launch of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine and called on all EU member states to join this initiative.
Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, noted that a “partial expanded agreement” will be signed at the Council of Europe ministerial meeting on May 14–15 in Chisinau, which will complete the legal preparations for the Special Tribunal on Russian aggression.
