Varus distribution center damaged in Dnipro due to Russian attack; fatalities reported

During the attack on Dnipro on May 5, the distribution center of the Varus grocery store chain was hit, resulting in fatalities among the staff.
According to Ukrinform, the company’s press service reported this on Facebook.
“The enemy targeted our distribution center in Dnipro. The worst part is that we have lost colleagues. The enemy strike on May 5, 2026, took the lives of people who worked every day to ensure food deliveries to homes. This is an irreparable loss,” the statement reads.
The company notes that due to significant damage to stores, delivery delays and limited product availability are possible. Work to restore supplies is already underway.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Russians struck Dnipro in the evening of May 5. Three people were reported killed and 16 wounded.
