Possibility of holding presidential elections under martial law: Parliament to establish working group
As reported by Ukrinform, this was announced on Telegram by Davyd Arakhamia, Head of the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party.
According to him, discussions will take place based on the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development, and Urban Planning, involving representatives of all parliamentary factions and groups, the Central Election Commission, as well as civil society organizations working on electoral issues.
Arakhamia added that the date and time of the committee meeting will be announced later and promised that media representatives will be invited to attend.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that, with organizational support from partners, he is ready to hold elections in Ukraine during martial law. However, according to the President, elections will not be held in Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
