Umerov briefs European national security advisors on Geneva and Florida talks
This was reported by Umerov on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“Today in Brussels, I had a productive, hours-long meeting with national security advisers from Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Finland, the United Kingdom. There were also representatives of the EU and NATO. I gave my colleagues a detailed update on the negotiations in Geneva and Florida, and on the next steps in the diplomatic process. It’s important that Europe stays an active part of this – both in achieving peace and in shaping the future security architecture,” Umerov emphasized.
According to him, the participants of the meeting specifically focused on security guarantees. In particular, they discussed jointly developing a framework of security guarantees that would be real and effective – for both the long-term security of Ukraine and all of Europe.
Additionally, the parties agreed to continue close consultations and synchronize positions to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
As reported by Ukrinform, on December 1, NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov held a phone call with President Volodymyr Zelensky following the work of the Ukrainian delegation in the United States.
