Rosenblit will replace Brodsky, whose term of office is coming to an end. Brodsky has served as ambassador to Ukraine since 2021 and will receive a new appointment.

Rosenblit previously served as a non-resident ambassador to countries in the Pacific region and headed Israel's diplomatic mission in Senegal. He was also an adviser at Israel's embassies in Moscow and Cairo.

The newly appointed ambassador was born in Kibbutz Ginegar, and later his family moved to Har Gilo near Jerusalem. He graduated from the Hebrew University, where he studied linguistics, Arabic language and literature, as well as public policy. After serving in the IDF, he joined the Israeli Foreign Ministry's diplomatic course in 1994 and worked on Middle Eastern affairs, including issues related to Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states, and Yemen.

He later served at the mission in Muscat, the embassy in Moscow, and in the economic department of Israel's Foreign Ministry.
