Poland to back Trump’s sanctions against Russia

Ukrinform
Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that his country would support U.S. President Donald Trump’s moves on imposing new sanctions on Russia.

That is according to Polish Radio, as reported by Ukrinform.

The Polish official commented on Trump’s post on Truth Social, in which the U.S. President expressed readiness to impose sanctions provided that all NATO countries take similar measures and halt purchases of Russian oil.

Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that Poland opposes buying energy resources from Russia:

“We are determined on this issue. We are unequivocal about purchases from the Russian Federation – we categorically say ‘no’ to such imports. That is why we made such an energy effort to be independent from the East, while also building this independence as much as possible on Polish capabilities,” the defense minister said.
