Kyiv sends 1,600 drones of various types to frontline troops
According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced the delivery on Telegram.
“Another 1,602 UAVs of various types have been sent to soldiers of the 12th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces serving on different sections of the front line. These include 1,500 fiber-optic FPV drones, 50 interceptor drones designed to counter Shahed-type drones, 50 Mavic drones, and two bomber drones,” Klitschko wrote.
According to the Mayor, since the beginning of the year, troops of the 12th Army Corps have received more than 7,800 drones from the Ukrainian capital.
“In total, since the start of 2026, Kyiv’s community has provided more than 52,000 UAVs of various types to military units from different brigades,” Klitschko added.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, the capital’s community also sent 3,100 drones of various types to the 225th Separate Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
